“ There was this really beautiful horse at horse camp. He could jump really high and I just connected with him. All the other girls said that I should buy him. I told them I already had a horse, and they told me I should get another one. He’s $6,000, though, and I told them I couldn’t afford it. But they were all rich and they just didn’t understand why I wasn’t buying him. ”
A teen girl in my library, telling me about her experience at a summer horse camp. I thought it was a good demonstration of the truly different world the 1% sometimes live in. On the bright side, the girl did have a good time at the camp. (via featherloom)
